For MDE, research is not a department, but a corporate philosophy. Every project originates from a scientific question and evolves into a scalable technology for biomedical production. The R&D division integrates expertise in polymeric compounding, micro-extrusion, and additive manufacturing, along with metrological validation and functional testing. This approach reduces industrialization times and ensures compliance with ISO 13485 and MDR 2017/745 regulations.

R&D activities cover multiple areas of biomedical engineering, with a focus on sustainability, performance, and clinical safety. Main research lines:

Research Laboratories and Technologies

The MDE R&D laboratory is equipped with the latest generation of instruments for testing, analysis, and prototyping. Main equipment:

  • Twin-screw compounding system for custom polymer development
  • Pilot lines for micro-extrusion and experimental molding
  • High-resolution biomedical 3D printers
  • Rheological and thermal systems for material analysis
  • In-house EtO sterilizer (for internal process validation use)

All tests are performed in controlled ISO 7 and ISO 8 environments, with digital recording of parameters.
